Andy Murray will not play for Leon Smith's Great Britain Davis Cup team this weekend
The 2015 Davis Cup champions face Canada, who are without world No 4 Milos Raonic, in the first round of the world group.
Andy Murray was left out of the squad last week but theoretically could have been added up to yesterday.
However, captain Leon Smith has confirmed that the world No 1 will continue his period of rest after the Australian Open.
"This should make for a really competitive tie.
"As always our players and team will give their best efforts in representing their country.”
