Andy Murray: Taken YEARS of persistance to number one
While he claims that climbing to the top of his sport has not changed him as a player, going into his opening round-robin clash against Marin Cilic Murray believes that top place gives him even greater belief.
“It feels good to be No1 but I don’t feel any different this week than I did the week before, like when I get up on the morning and stuff,” said Murray.
“But maybe when you step on the court you have a little bit more confidence and feel a bit better about yourself when you are hitting balls and getting ready for the tournament.”
