Wimbledon 2012: Serena Williams rapped for drinks plug
SERENA WILLIAMS has had a quiet reprimand from the All England Lawn Tennis Club after brazenly endorsing a soft drink during her main press interview.
The former champion, who is under contract with the drink in question, swigged from a heavily branded green bottle between questions, despite strict Grand Slam rules prohibiting “identification” of unofficial brands both on and off the court.
She was pulled her aside afterwards and told there should be no repeat during the fortnight.
