Carlos Alcaraz certainly enjoyed himself in the aftermath of his first French Open triumph. The 21-year-old, already a three time Grand Slam winner, overcame Alexander Zverev on Sunday in a five set thriller at Roland Garros on Sunday, prevailing 6-3 2-6 5-7 6-1 6-2.

The Spaniard appeared exhilarated after taking match point, initially throwing himself down on the clay and screaming loudly.

But he was composed in his on-court interview before lifting the silverware, thanking his coaching team and the Parisian crowds for their support.

However, new social media footage has revealed he was anything but calm and collected later on in the evening. A video posted by @TheTennisLetter on X shows Alcaraz partying late at night, surrounded by fans with microphone in hand.

The three-time Grand Slam winner was filmed belting out a rendition of the famous ‘We are the champions’ song by Queen. And he has a number of fellow clubbers singing along with him, and happily embraced one when the tune finished.

But tennis fans online were left joking that Alcaraz shouldn’t be thinking of a career switch anytime soon. “Good thing he has tennis to fall back on” wrote @akm1.

“So there is something he can't do,” added @blue4888, complete with multiple laughter and party emojis. “Seriously, I'm happy he's having fun.” @annekbrooks said: “Glad he’s having some fun well deserved.”

Singing and dancing won’t be the only way he marks his latest triumph though. Alcaraz has also pledged to get a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower, after a photo reappeared of him as a 12-year-old sat in front of the famous landmark, watching the tournament on a big screen.

"It will be on the left ankle - the Eiffel Tower and today's date," he said, in his post-final press conference. "I have to find time but I will do it for sure."

Alcaraz now has a Slam to his name on each of the three different tennis surfaces, having previously prevailed at the US Open and the grass of Wimbledon. And he now only needs the Australian Open to complete a career Grand Slam.

Despite victory in Paris though, he has not returned to the top of the world rankings. That honour has gone to Jannik Sinner, who displaces Novak Djokovic despite losing to Alcaraz in the semi-finals.
