Wimbledon finalist splits with sex-addict partner who skips foreplay and romps 10x a week
Matteo Berrettini confirmed his split from Melissa Satta a year after they were first spotted together.
Matteo Berrettini has confirmed his split with supermodel girlfriend Melissa Satta after an “intense” relationship. While they were together, Satta had been forced to hit out at trolls who blamed her for the 2021 Wimbledon finalist’s poor form. The swimwear model and TV presenter was previously married to Kevin-Prince Boateng, claiming that they had sex “seven to 10 times a week”.
Berrettini was first spotted with Satta in January 2023 but the pair have mutually agreed to split up after a relationship with some “difficulties”. The former world No. 6 said: “Melissa Satta and I are no longer together.
“What I can say is that we had a beautiful, intense relationship and we have great respect for each other. I won’t go beyond this, I don’t like sharing my private life too much. Nothing special happened. I must thank her for this period we lived together very intensely despite all the difficulties.”
Berrettini wasn’t the first sporting star that Satta dated, as she spent five years with Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri and was previously married to former Tottenham player Boateng. During her relationship with the Italian tennis star, Satta shut down suggestions that she caused his injuries and subsequent dip in results - something she also faced while married to Boateng.

“[They say] ‘Berrettini doesn’t win because Satta is distracting him, she’s too demanding’... But I held back,” the 38-year-old told Vanity Fair last year. “[This has happened before] with my ex-husband [Boateng] who suffered from pubalgia.
“Even there they attacked me saying that we had too much sex and that was the cause of his physical problems. [The injury Berrettini has] is an injury in the same place as the one in 2021, when I didn’t know him. But in any case - do I really have to answer to these people?”
Satta hit headlines in 2012 when she discussed her sex life with Boateng and claimed that she “hates foreplay”. Speaking to Vanity Fair at the time, she said: “The reason why he is always injured is because we have sex seven to 10 times a week. I hate foreplay, I want to get straight to the point. My favourite position is on top so I can take control.”

Berrettini is still struggling with physical setbacks after an injury-riddled year. The 27-year-old has yet to play a match in 2024 and his ranking has slipped down to No. 125 in the world. An oblique injury derailed the first half of his 2023 season and forced him to skip the French Open.
The seven-time title winner enjoyed a successful run to the second week at Wimbledon shortly after he returned but he was forced to retire injured during the second round of the US Open when he hurt his ankle. He recently pulled out of the Australian Open on the eve of his first match due to an issue with his right foot.
