Rafael Nadal vs Yannick Hanfmann TV channel: How to watch French Open match on TV
RAFAEL NADAL takes on Yannick Hanfmann in his opening match of the 2019 French Open on Monday, but how can you watch the match on TV?
Rafael Nadal has had the perfect preparation for Rolland Garros after winning the Italian Open last week.
The 32-year-old has won the tournament 11 times from 14 attempts in the past, and is once again favourite to take home to famous Musketeers' Trophy.
Despite his good form, the Spaniard is not taking anything for granted and ignored reports that he should retain his title.
“I don't care if I'm the favourite," Nadal told AFP ahead of his clash against Yannick Hanfmann.
"I care about feeling well and playing well.”
Nadal also named six players that could take his title, including Roger Federer.
"I appreciate that you [the media] see me like that, but Dominic Thiem, Novak, Federer, Stefanos Tsitsipas who has been playing well, Juan Martin del Potro, Kei Nishikori - all those that are the best in the world will be favourites," he added.
"The only thing that worries me is being well and being competitive.
"The only favourite that matters is the one who has the cup at home in two weeks' time."
Nadal insists that his main priority for the coming fixtures is to stay fully fit and injury free.
"When you're recovering from an injury it's also difficult to recover mentally," he said.
"I had not had that [full fitness] for a long time.”
