ATP Barcelona order of play TODAY: Rafael Nadal takes on Dominic Thiem in semi-final
BARCELONA OPEN order of play - Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem will go head-to-head in the semi-finals and Express Sport is on hand with the full schedule.
Rafael Nadal faces Dominic Thiem today as his attempt to win Barcelona Open title No 12. continues.
Nadal saw off Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarter-finals yesterday, while Thiem cruised past Guido Pella.
Kei Nishikori and Daniel Medvedev make up the final four, Nishikori being the only man other than Nadal to win the ATP event since 2010.
Today will mark the 12th time that Nadal and Thiem have met on the court.
The 25-year-old could become only the second player to beat Nadal four times on clay, Novak Djokovic is currently the only player to have done so.
Nadal has won eight of their 11 contests, with the Austrian coming out on top in Buenos Aires in 2016, Rome in 2017 and Madrid a year later.
The mens’ doubles action also continues, with Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares aiming to reach tomorrow’s final day by beating Raven Klaasen and Joe Salisbury.
If the younger brother of Andy Murray is to make the final, he and Soares will face either Pablo Carreno Busta and Feliciano Lopez or Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah.
