Nick Kyrgios in X-rated rant about Rafael Nadal during Stan Wawrinka match
NICK KYRGIOS was once again involved in a bust up during his amazing Mexican Open run.
Mexican Open: Rafael Nadal is defeated by Nick Kyrgios
Kyrgios got underneath Rafael Nadal’s skin yesterday by underarm serving during his last-16 win against the world No 2.
Nadal claimed Kyrgios “lacks respect” and shunned him with a frosty handshake at the end of the match.
And it seems the Australian had his own grip with Nadal as he mentioned the Spaniard during his quarter-final win over Stan Wawrinka this morning.
Kyrgios needed to receive treatment for a grazed hand early on and it was met with boos from the crowd.
That irritated the 23-year-old and he fumed: "What is f***ing wrong with these f***ing people.
“There's blood all over my hand, what the f*** do you want me to do? This is f***ing insane."
It was the second successive match Lyrfiosh was booed in Acapulco.
And umpire Damian Steiner warned him about his language.
But after a second debate, Kyrgios brought Nadal into the equation.
“Don't ever say that to me again - mate, that's bulls***,” Kyrgios warned the umpire.
“I’ve got Rafa yesterday slowing me down before serve, he's pumping up the crowd. Don't talk to me like that. It's bulls***.
“So am I. I'm pumping up the crowd. That's fine. Get out of here.”
But that was not the end of the controversy for Kyrgios.
He was taunted by a fan during the third set and he responded with: ”F*** you, man.”
Kyrgios will face the winner of John Isner vs John Millman in the semi-finals.
Briton’s Cameron Norrie and Alexander Zverev are potential final opponents.
