Stefanos Tsitsipas net worth: Roger Federer BEATEN – how much will Tsitsipas earn?
STEFANOS TSITSIPAS net worth figures are set for a sharp rise after toppling Roger Federer in the Australian Open fourth round.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has produced the biggest shock of the Australian Open after defeating Roger Federer 6-7 7-6 7-5 7-6 at the Rod Laver Arena.
The 20-year-old pulled off some stunning shots and held firm against the Swiss icon to secure the shock victory.
Tsitsipas survived 12 break points during the match as he battled to the death for victory.
He was defeated 7-6 7-6 by Federer at the Hopman Cup last month and didn’t seem phased following his encounter with the Swiss master.
“I always imagined it would be much more difficult to face that kind of player but doing the right things on the court didn't seem really difficult to me,” said Tsitsipas.
“The patterns I used today were very good, I did not have to run too much, I was being aggressive from the first very ball after my serve.
“I noticed we did not have long rallies, today everything was happening very fast, and actually and unusual game, I am not used to such a fast tempo, such a fast service game.”
Now Tsitsipas has toppled Federer and will advance to the quarter-finals where more big scalps await.
