Six Nations fixtures revealed for 2018 and 2019: England handed chance for revenge
ENGLAND will get the chance to avenge their Six Nations Grand Slam failure when they face Ireland on the final weekend of the 2018 competition.
England won the Six Nations in 2017 but missed out on Grand Slam glory with defeat in Dublin
England triumphed in 2017 but were disappointed to have missed out on a second successive Grand Slam when they were beaten 13-9 by Ireland on the final day of the championship.
However, next year they could have the chance to take their vengeance on home turf as the visit of Ireland will be their final fixture.
They will open the tournament with a trip to Rome to face Italy before hosting Wales in their first Twickenham match of the competition.
"We are delighted to confirm the fixture dates for the 2018 championship, coming shortly after a record-breaking 2017 edition," said Six Nations Rugby chairman Pat Whelan.
"We enjoyed record figures across TV and digital and look forward to continuing that trend over the next two seasons."
