The Lions tour New Zealand this summer in one of the most eagerly anticipated tours in the team’s history.
The Six Nations usually provides a strong indicator of who will be selected from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland to represent the Lions.
But England head coach Eddie Jones believes the best way to impress Lions head coach Warren Gatland is to do well in an England shirt first.
England skipper Dylan Hartley has been among the suggested names to take up the captaincy for the tour of New Zealand.
But he insists representing the Lions is not on his mind.
“Individuals may have (Lions) at the back of there minds but for me I’m focusing on next week and my job, by role and our team,” he said.
