The 55-year-old Australian replaced Stuart Lancaster after England's shambolic home World Cup and has set about building his own coaching set-up.
Yesterday it was announced Andy Farrell, Graham Rowntree and Mike Catt has all left their posts.
And this afternoon the Rugby Football Union confirmed former captain Borthwick will now take up a new role as forwards coach.
"The RFU can announce Steve Borthwick has agreed to join Eddie Jones' coaching staff," a statement read.
