Six Nations TV guide: What channel is every Six Nations match on?
Express Sport takes you through the full television guide for the 2024 Six Nations as Ireland look to defend their title.
England will hope for a vastly better showing at this year’s Six Nations, with Steve Borthwick naming a strong 36-man squad for this year’s tournament. Borthwick’s side finished fourth and 17 points behind champions Ireland at last year’s Six Nations and will want a much better performance from his players.
The tournament, which runs throughout February and March, sees the national teams of England, Ireland, France, Wales, Scotland and Italy go up against each other in a round-robin format. England are bidding to end a four-year wait to win the tournament having last triumphed in 2020.
BBC and ITV will share the broadcasting of matches throughout the five rounds. Live streams will be available for free on the BBC iPlayer and ITVX apps, and will be available to download on mobile or tablet devices.
The general rule of thumb is that if England, Ireland, Italy or France are playing at home, then the game will be televised on ITV. Alternatively, if Scotland or Wales are at home, then the BBC is televising the match.
Government officials recently rejected calls to add the Six Nations to the list of sporting events that must be shown for free from 2026 onwards. It means that the Six Nations’ long-term future on free-to-air television is unclear.
