Six Nations 2019: Wales fans FURIOUS with George North for performance against France
WALES rugby fans are fuming with the performance of George North during their Six Nations match-up with France.
Wales went 16-0 down in the first half thanks to two tries, a penalty and a drop goal.
Wales were favourites before the game, but have been ousted by a fearsome French attack.
Wales also had a try disallowed, before missing the chance to get on the scoreboard with a scuppered penalty.
And Twitter users are noticing the performance of George North, who hasn’t played very well.
One user wrote : “George North! shocking”.
Another agreed “What is George North doing??”
While, others simply lambasted his talent.
“George north is possibly the most overrated player to ever play welsh rugby,” someone else wrote.
North was also compared to Everton man Theo Walcott.
“George North is the Theo Walcott of the rugby world,” the tweet read.
Wales boss Warren Gatland spoke before the game about their tournament prospects.
And the legendary manager seemed fairly confident in his side.
"I've been pretty open that we have a good chance of winning the Six Nations," he said.
"I think if we win this first game, we can win it given we have home games against England and Ireland.
"We came second last year which was okay.
“It would be great for us to win the Six Nations, but we know there's the World Cup later in the year."
