Roman Reigns battles with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34
Reigns has been rated as the next face of the company after John Cena decides to retire.
But ever since 2015 The Big Dog has been struggling to win over the WWE Universe and keeps getting booed in every arena even though he performs as a babyface (good guy).
Many feel that Strowman deserves to be the top guy more because he is very popular among the fans and has shown immense talent in the ring.
But according to Ringside News, Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net claims the WWE Chairman still has faith in Reigns despite booking him to lose to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 and the Greatest Royal Rumble.
Roman Reigns is seen as the next top guy in WWE
People were wondering, ‘is Roman Reigns still the guy in the eyes of WWE and Vince McMahon?
Shepard said: “People were wondering, ‘is Roman Reigns still the guy in the eyes of WWE and Vince McMahon?’
“Of course, Vince is very high on Braun and I was told Vince has taken a personal interest in Braun’s success.
“But as for who ‘the guy’ is there’s been no indication internally that it’s no longer Roman Reigns.”
Braun Strowman is very popular among the WWE Universe
Reigns faces Samoa Joe this Sunday at Backlash after his controversial title match against Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
Strowman will form a daunting duo with Bobby Lashley to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
The Monster Among Men has been linked with a future Universal title shot against Lesnar.
