Winter Olympics 2018: Skiers crash in MID-AIR in shocking moment in gold-medal race
THIS is the moment when two skiers collided in mid-air during the ski cross final at the Winter Olympics.
Ridzik and Drury CRASH during ski cross final
Canada's Brady Leman edged Switzerland's Marc Bischofberger to claim victory in the men's ski cross final.
However, the gold-medal race wasn’t incident-free as Olympic Athlete from Russia Sergey Ridzik and Canada's Kevin Drury collided in spectacular style.
As they came over a huge jump Ridzik fell and accidentally wiped out Drury.
Staggeringly despite the horror crash, Ridzik was able to get up and finish third to take bronze.
Thankfully Drury recovered from the fall and did eventually cross the finishing line, however, he was given a Did Not Finish classification.

Leman's gold is Canada's third from a possible five in ski cross events at the Olympics.
Interestingly, there was no French skier in the final, just four years on from a podium clean-sweep in Sochi.
Ridzik and Drury’s crash was not the only accident during the men’s ski cross in Pyeongchang.

Winter Olympics 2018: Thankfully both skiers escaped injury
Canada's Chris Del Bosco suffered a broken pelvis after his sickening crash during his heat.
Del Bosco received lengthy medical treatment after landing on his back, but was seen raising his arms as he was carried off the course on a stretcher.
Terence Tchiknavorian of France was also taken to hospital with a suspected fractured shin.
Despite the injuries the athletes refused to blame the course and said injuries were part of the sport.
"Throughout the season you see a lot of crashes," said Drury.
"It is part of the sport. It is the bad part of the sport but it is kind of what happens."
"It is sad (these injuries) are happening," added Slovenia's Filip Flisar, who went out in the semi-finals.
"There is not a lot you can do because the specifics of the sport itself are extreme."
