Winter Olympics 2018: Snowboarder Emily Arthur falls FACE FIRST in halfpipe
WINTER OLYMPICS snowboarder Emily Arthur was lucky to escape with nothing more than a nosebleed after crashing in the halfpipe on Tuesday.
Emily Arthur suffered a bloody nose after her fall
Australian Arthur landed face first when competing in her third and final run on Tuesday.
Fans at the PyeongChang halfpipe were left shocked by the crash.
The 18-year-old said she was left "looking a bit like shrek" as bloood poured from her nose.
She tweeted: “Thank you everyone so so much for all you’re kind words!! I’m doing okay!
“Just a very swollen nose and face, looking a bit like shrek but happy none the less.”

Emily Arthur said she felt like 'Shrek' after the fall
Arthur had performed a 540 degree rotation off the halfpipe and looked like she had landed it well.
But she then rolled over on the ice and hit her head badly.
“I’m good and I'm alive,' she said.
“Got a real swollen left eye when I look around, but I'm fine, I'm happy just being here.”
This was her first Winter Olympics.
