Conor McGregor made history last week when he beat Eddie Alvarez to become the first man ever to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.
The Irishman’s success has led to rumours about fighting Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers of all time with 49 fights unbeaten.
But White, president of UFC, has always talked down the possibility of the two getting into a ring or an octagon.
“If you love the pure defence of boxing, you can appreciate what he does, but as a fighter, Floyd isn’t a fighter.
“He’s not a guy who captures the imagination of fight fans all over the world.
“A Floyd Mayweather fight will put people to sleep.”
