Shaun Murphy: I'm playing the best snooker of my career
SHAUN MURPHY insists he is in the form of his life after roaring into a first Betfred World Championship final for six years.
Shaun Murphy thrashed Barry Hawkins 17-9
Murphy is looking to add a second world title at the Crucible in Sheffield a decade after his first achieved as a 22-year-old.
The Magician completed a 17-9 semi-final win over 2013 runner-up Barry Hawkins yesterday.
And Murphy, who confirmed his return to form in January with a first Masters title, is back in the kind of groove that saw him rip through the field and lift the trophy in 2005.
He said: “Without doubt I’m playing the best snooker of my career. I’ve played some good stuff over the years, but this is down to hard graft. My self-belief is renewed.”
