Taylor Swift strategically skipped the Los Angeles trip for the face-off between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers to allow Travis Kelce to focus on his game, but now a second reason has emerged.

Swift is reportedly putting safety first while leaving her beau to concentrate on the field amid a difficult start to the NFL season for the Chiefs.

According to Page Six's insider scoop, there are additional security concerns when Swift travels to matches, as an insider said: "She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance."

The source pointed out additional reasons for Swift not attending the game could be related to Kelce's criticised performance this season, noting his notably lacklustre stats in the opening games.

Swift had rallied behind the Chiefs at their initial contests which culminated in triumphs over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals prior to forgoing the trip to watch them spar with the Falcons in Atlanta, followed by another absence at the recent Chargers showdown last Sunday.

Swift's evasion of the Falcons clash was swiftly decoded post sightings of her New York reverie, enjoying quality time with Gigi Hadid. Yet, details on why she dodged the LA game rendezvous were conspicuously absent on the day.

Speculation had started to circulate, with Elle suggesting that Swift chose to give her partner some room and let the focus be solely on his game.

Her attendance at matches had been rumoured to be a reason why Kelce had suffered a disappointing start to the new season, a theory that was quickly quashed by his brother Jason.

He said: "I've had a lot of catches in this league, man. I'm not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that, I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn't?

"It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we're doing everything we can to win these football games, that's always going to be the goal. I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away."
