Brit Max Whitlock bags all-round SILVER medal at World Gymnastics Championships
MAX WHITLOCK yesterday won all-round silver at the World Championships in Nanning.
As Japan's Kohei Uchimura won a fifth consecutive title with 91.965 points, 1.492 ahead of Whitlock who did not originally qualify for the final but entered the field after team mate Nile Wilson withdrew through injury.
Whitlock said: "The whole trip has been a roller-coaster.
"I struggled in qualification and then only learnt yesterday that I was in the final as Nile withdrew. I really can't believe I'm now standing with the World silver.
