Snooker: Stephen Lee's fate to be decided
STEPHEN LEE will see his fate decided at an independent tribunal hearing in September.
He has been suspended since last October after being hit with eight charges of breaching snooker’s betting rules.
Lee, 38, will have been on the sidelines and unable to play in official events for almost a year by the time he gets the chance to clear his name.
But the WPBSA revealed yesterday that the Sport Resolutions hearing will take place on September 9.
And a frustrated governing body also put the blame for the long delay firmly at Lee’s own door.
The player denies any wrongdoing. Lee faces a lengthy or even life ban should he be found guilty on any or more of the charges.
