Mark Cavendish bids to reclaim the Milan-San Remo title
MARK CAVENDISH will bid to reclaim the coveted Milan-San Remo title tomorrow, with former team-mate Rob Hayles hoping the recent work they have done together will prove the difference.
Cavendish’s 2009 triumph in the 298km one-day race proved his burgeoning ability and paved the way for success at last September’s world championship.
Hayles, who won Madison world gold alongside him in 2005, has helped Team Sky’s Cavendish, 26, prepare for the 2012 season and said: “He’s definitely in the shape to do it.”
