Snooker: Joe Jogia shootout off
JOE JOGIA has pulled out of Saturday’s scrutinised Sky Shoot-out clash against Matt Selt through injury.
Betting was suspended on their one-frame, 10-minute clash after large stakes were placed on Jogia to lose.
World No45 Jogia insists probes by governing body the WPBSA and the Gambling Commission will find no wrongdoing.
He said: “I tore my left knee ligaments last week. I couldn’t walk and loads of people since have asked me how the leg is.

“A Leicester bookmaker rang me asking how I was, so I told him about the knee – and he said there had been local bets on me to lose.

Selt, who has been given a bye into the next round, said: “This is the one tournament where we can relax and have a good time as well as play snooker.”
