Mark Cavendish pulls out of Vuelta a Espana
MARK CAVENDISH has pulled out of the Vuelta a Espana on the race’s fourth stage.
Cavendish, 26, withdrew with around 25miles to go.
He had been struggling with the heat on Monday and began 16 minutes and 48 seconds off the leaders yesterday.
Cavendish is the second HTC-Highroad rider to quit after Australian Matt Goss exited the race on its first day.
