Luke Littler explains why he didn't buy his girlfriend a birthday present this year
Darts star Luke Littler won the World Masters trophy for the first time over the weekend, beating Luke Humphries in the final

Darts sensation Luke Littler has admitted he failed to buy girlfriend Faith Millar a birthday present over the weekend - though he reckons the World Masters trophy might make up for it for the time being. The reigning world champion has been dating Millar, a beautician, since 2025. Her emotional celebrations were caught on camera when he thrashed Gian van Veen 7-1 to retain his crown at Alexandra Palace in January after she supported The Nuke throughout his run to victory.
Littler's next challenge takes him to Newcastle for the curtain-raiser of this season's Premier League Darts. However, before then, he'll need to sort out that overdue gift. "I didn't get her anything but at least I got the trophy," Littler said. "We can go shopping. When we first came in, [PDC media chief ] Josh Phillips said, 'Is it Faith's birthday?' I said, ' Yeah, there is no pressure on me'. But there was a little bit to try to get the win for her and my family. A successful Sunday."
Manchester United supporter Littler secured his triumph on the same weekend when the Red Devils notched up their third consecutive victory under new caretaker boss Michael Carrick. The day improved further when - as he pointed out - local rivals Manchester City squandered a 2-0 advantage to draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
There were tense moments for Littler at the Masters but he dug deep for the win. He survived a match dart against Gerwyn Price during a 5-4 semi-final triumph before edging out Luke Humphries 6-5 in the final in Milton Keynes.

The triumph enabled him to land one of the few titles that have eluded him so far. He has set his sights on the European Championship following a round of 16 exit last year, and he's also keen to regain the Premier League title he clinched in 2024 but was unable to retain last year.

His Masters run began with a nail-biting opening round against Mike De Decker before those close calls later in the tournament. "I didn't expect to win. I just had to find the gears and go through them," he revealed. "If I play well and lose, I will be happy. If I play badly and lose, I will go backstage and do something I wouldn't do on camera.
"I didn't pick up a dart since Saudi Arabia. Coming into the De Decker game, that was very ropey at times. Just to get through that first game, go on to the second round and get a bit more practice in, this is what it leads to.
"I know it's there. When I am warmed up, I can hit 180s after 180s. I was gutted not to hit the nine at the weekend because I can feel it's there. I can definitely feel it coming. Hopefully we see one in the Premier League. We have to have another go."
