Snooker: World No1 John Higgins is waiting on judgment
JOHN Higgins’ fate will be decided today at the tribunal examining allegations that he agreed to throw frames for £261,000.
Three-time world champion Higgins, who has always protested his innocence, arrived at 9am yesterday for his hearing at lawyers’ offices in central London.
Chaired by barrister Ian Mill QC, the tribunal panel heard testimony from Higgins and former manager Pat Mooney, also at the now infamous Kiev meeting.

The tribunal went into recess at just after 6pm last night – and final judgement on Higgins and Mooney is now expected today.
The charges were not made public, but they are thought to include agreeing to lose frames for money, bringing the sport into disrepute and failing to report the meeting.
If world No1 Higgins, currently suspended, was found guilty on all charges, he could expect a lengthy ban.
If he was cleared on all counts, however, Higgins could be back in competitive action within a month.
