Mike De Decker dated Miss Bachelorette who had two kids with Premier League ace

Mike De Decker celebrated the most significant victory of his career on Sunday evening. The Belgian star entered the World Grand Prix as an underdog, but after a series of electrifying performances, he found himself in the final against world No.1 Luke Humphries. However, Humphries had no response to the Belgian in peak form.

De Decker secured his first major win with a 6-4 victory in Leicester. Off the dartboard, the Belgian ace once dated Elke Clijsters, a Belgian tennis professional and winner of Miss Bachelorette Belgium.

Elke hails from a sporting family - her father, Lei Clijsters, represented Belgium in 40 matches, while her sister, Kim Clijsters, is a former world No. 1 in tennis.

Despite her efforts, Elke never quite matched her sister's success during her four-year professional career.

However, she did meet Belgian footballer Jelle Van Damme, who played for Wolves and Southampton in the Premier League. The couple married and had two children before parting ways in 2016.

Elke returned to the public eye when she was crowned Miss Bachelorette Belgium. In the reality show, a group of men competed for her affections, each hoping to win the show and secure a date with her.

She chose Ivan, then 30, but their romance was short-lived. It was announced that they had already split up by the time the final episode aired.

Elke has opened up about her new romance, revealing to Het Laatste Nieuws, "I do indeed have a new relationship, but we haven't been together for very long," after being probed about her connection with De Decker. She disclosed the digital beginnings of their love story: "We met each other via Instagram about two years ago."

The first real-life encounter occurred this year, as she divulged, "This year we met for the first time at the beach club Ipanema in Hasselt. Ultimately, we only became a couple some time later."

Despite the promising start, Elke ultimately shared that she had parted ways with De Decker, hinting at the split with an Instagram Stories post upon her return from Ibiza, prompting fans to play the curious inquirers. Presenting the invitation for interrogation, Elke teased, "Ask me a question," A follower took the chance to probe: "How are you and Mike? " To which she clarified the current status with De Decker by stating, "Mike and I have not been together since recently, we are better as friends."
