Luke Littler has told darts fans to enjoy his absence while they can as he prepares to miss the Nordic Darts Masters. In a sign that he will continue his domination of the sport after he returns from a trip to Orlando, Littler cheekily responded to a fan who had celebrated the 17-year-old missing the event.

Fresh from his Premier League Darts triumph over Luke Humphries, the World Championship runner-up is heading on holiday to Orlando for a hard-earned break. Littler has decided to skip the Nordic Darts Masters.

The PDC posted the draw for the tournament across social media this week. One fan who has grown frustrated with Littler’s meteoric rise was delighted that he was not involved.

On Facebook, they commented: ''Another tournament I can enjoy without a certain person being mentioned all the time!''

However, Littler hilariously hit back and made clear that he plans to continue dominating the news agenda after his holiday.

''Enjoy it while u can,'' Littler replied with a side-eye emoji.

It has been a remarkable six months for Littler. He rose to prominence at the World Championship, breezing through to the final where the teen was unfortunate to lose to Humphries.

He earned a place in Premier League Darts and despite a gruelling schedule, went on to get revenge over Humphries last month. He defeated Cool Hand 11-7 in the play-off final at the O2 Arena on May 23.

Littler’s schedule ever since the World Championship last winter has been packed. A decision was taken that he would spend some time recuperating instead of continuing with an exhausting schedule.

The Warrington-based star informed his manager that he wanted a week off from darts action to recuperate.

He said last week: "Next week we're going to Orlando. There's a competition at the weekend, but I just said to my manager, 'Can I have the week off, [I] don't want to play, [Id' rather] go on holiday'."

Littler has enjoyed a super first year in senior darts. He followed up his relative success at the World Championship by winning the Bahrain Darts Masters in January. The teenager has subsequently won titles in Belgium and Austria, in addition to his Premier League triumph.
