NBA news: Steph Curry injury SCARE as Warriors star spotted with practice court problem
STEPH CURRY was holding ice on his left wrist after Golden State Warriors practice today.
Curry only returned from a three-week lay-off with a groin problem on Sunday.
The point guard missed 11 matches and struggled on his Warriors return as his side were beaten by Detroit Pistons.
But Curry helped the Warriors break a barren run of six straight defeats on the road against Atlanta Hawks yesterday.
However, following training this morning, Curry spoke to the media with an ice pack on his wrist.
Doubts were initially raised over whether he would be available for tonight’s clash at Cleveland Cavaliers.
But the three-time NBA Champion insists the treatment was merely precautionary.
“It is great. It is fantastic,” Curry said.
“I’m just glad I don’t play golf for a living.
“Yes [the ice is just for maintenance].”
Curry had been watching from the sidelines as his team struggled to pick up wins in his absence.
But he is glad to be back and believes the time away may have made him a better player.
“Win or lose you can do something on the court which just makes you a better player,” Curry added.
“You can use that to get through. I understand that situation but it is better for the rest of your career.
“It is about having tunnel vision around and how you approach it every single day.”
The Warriors are currently fourth in the Western Conference ahead of their clash with the 13th-placed Cavs.
