Deshaun Watson injury: Texans star update ahead of Bills visit
DESHAUN WATSON is expected to start for the Houston Texans against Buffalo Bills on Sunday despite a chest injury.
The quarterback sustained a bruised chest and lung after Week 5.
The Texans came through a tough game against the Dallas Cowboys at home, winning 19-16.
Watson made one touchdown during that game and threw 375 yards - he’s thrown at least that amount every game this season - coming back on in the fourth quarter after being assessed in the medical tent.
The linchpin suffered as a result of the physical game, though, taking hits to his torso.
Watson revealed earlier this week that he felt confident ahead of today’s fixture.
“I feel good, I feel great,” he told the media.
“We got the W [against the Cowboys] and I was able to celebrate with the team-mates and my family.
“It was another day in the office and I’ve been recovering from the game.
I’ve been sore plenty of times - that’s part of the game

“You take some shots but then you re-group and keep moving forward.”
When asked whether he expected to play against the Bills, Watson replied: “For sure.”
Watson was selected by the Texans as 12th pick in the 2017 draft.
He tallied 21 total touchdowns in seven games as a rookie but suffered a torn ACL during training in November, which made him mis the rest of the season.
He has completed 65.1 percent of his passes and thrown eight touchdowns along with five interceptions through five games this season.
Bill O’Brien’s side began the season slowly with three consecutive losses, but their form has taken an upturn ahead of Bills’ visit.
The Houston-based outfit have won their last two and face Sean McDermott’s side who have the same win-loss record.
