Jared Goff interview interrupted by Aqib Talib's x-rated DeMarcus Lawrence rant
JARED GOFF was interrupted during his post-game television interview following the Los Angeles Rams’ win over the Dallas Cowboys.
He was speaking to Fox Sports when team-mate Aqib Talib, who yelled into the microphone with a dig at Cowboys player DeMarcus Lawrence.
The Rams ran out 30-22 winners over the Cowboys, with Goff handing off for three touchdown runs.
Before the game, Cowboys defensive end Lawrence began the verbal warfare with Goff, saying he ‘didn’t like quarterbacks’.
Speaking to media during the week, he declared that he was going to take Goff’s soul in Saturday night’s game.
“He’s a quarterback, I don’t like quarterbacks,” he said.
“My impression is the same.
“I go into every week wanting to take the quarterback’s soul.
“When you get to look in a man’s eye and see fear in his heart, that’s when you know you’ve got him.
“That’s how I play the game, and that’s how we’re going to dictate the game.”
However, in the game, Lawrence was unable to get through to Goff, and failed to register any sacks.
And afterwards, Talib fired a dig at the defensive end.
“I heard they were gonna take somebody’s soul?” he shouted.
“He ain’t taking no f****** souls out here.”
Goff quickly apologised, before getting one parting shot of his own.
“You’ll have to bleep that,” he said.
“He’s right though, he’s right.”
