Tiger Woods spotted with Liverpool star practising at WEMBLEY ahead of return to The Open
TIGER WOODS took advantage of his trip to the UK for The Open at Carnoustie to stop off at the famous Wembley Stadium for some filming - alongside Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Open: Tiger Woods coached by Big Shaq at Wembley
Woods, 42, has not played The Open since 2015 and has not even made the cut since 2013, when he finished sixth at Muirfield.
But the American, after four back surgeries and a lengthy layoff, is finally back playing golf and swinging pain-free.
And before he headed north to Carnoustie, the venue for The Open in 2018, Woods was spotted filming for sponsor Nike at Wembley Stadium.
In the video, it is England and Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlain who opens the doors to the national football stadium so that Woods can use the arena for practice.
However, he does not feature further, perhaps because of the seriousness of the knee injury he sustained earlier this year.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed this week that the midfielder is unlikely to return to first-team action before the end of the 2018/19 season, a major blow to the Reds’ Premier League title challenge.
Woods meanwhile appears to be injury-free and spent the day filming with Michael Dapaah, better known as Big Shaq, made famous last year by the popular rap “Man’s Not Hot”.
The 14-time major winner was given a few tips by Dapaah, who played the role of the Wembley groundskeeper, giving Woods the chance to hit shots from the stands towards teh famous pitch.
But he did not, as football fans might first have feared, take any chunks out of the famous Wembley turf.
