THE OPEN is underway but it seems the shot of the tournament actually happened in practice.
The Open: Kevin Na pulls off OUTRAGEOUS trick shot
The 147th edition of The Open is underway at Carnoustie with Jordan Spieth battling it out to defend his title and bring home the Claret Jug once again.
Dustin Johnson is currently favourite to take Spieth’s title but the honour of the most spectacular shot is probably going to go to Kevin Na.
Na was practising at hole 18 when he had to take a little backwards approach to the hole.
A rogue shot saw the ball left teetering on the edge of the bunker and Na had to pull out something special to get out of his tight spot.
Staggeringly, while stood in the bunker, the American was able to play a stunning flop shot over his OWN head and back out onto the green.
And fans were left stunned at Na’s incredible shot.
“I'd like to see that during the tournament not in practice,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
Another said: “Sorcery! I’ve only ever played it behind me by accident.”
“What is this kind of magic!!” a third fan wrote.
While one fan simply called it “voodoo”.
