Ernie Els shows he's still got it with BMW International victory
ERNIE ELS last night became the oldest winner in the 25-year history of the BMW International.
The 43-year-old’s closing 69 and 18-under-par total were good enough to beat another veteran, Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn, by one shot in Munich.
Afterwards, Els set his sights on more titles to add to his haul of 63 victories worldwide.
“I am still chasing Majors ,” he said. “Now I feel the youngest 43-year-old in the world and I can still compete with anybody.”
