Ryder Cup 2012: Tiger Woods's slice of garlic dread
GARLIC does not just trouble vampires – it can also be used to ward off Tiger Woods.
The seemingly harmless bulb had to be taken off the menu at the Ryder Cup gala dinner on Wednesday night in response to Woods’ rabid hatred of it.
“Nobody was served garlic. It was easier that way,” said Rosewood Restaurant owner Jimmy Mandas.
Garlic butter had also been outlawed at Gibson’s Bar and Steakhouse when the Americans came visiting for their team dinner.
Woods has endured allergic reactions to garlic in the past and is apparently extremely wary of it.
Maybe a bulb or two in the relevant European golf bags might be in order today.
