Rory McIlroy has another Tiger Woods test to look forward to
RORY MCILROY will face 14-time Major winner Tiger Woods in a one-day matchplay contest in China on October 29.
The current and former No1s will be the only competitors in the 18-hole Duel at Jinsha Lake event.
No prize-money is up for grabs in the exhibition clash that will take place a month after the pair play in the Ryder Cup.
“It’s an exciting concept and it will be a lot of fun going head to head with Tiger,’’ said USPGA champion McIlroy.

“It will be the first time myself and Tiger have come together to play a ‘one-off’ match like this, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
McIlroy returned to the top of the world rankings after winning last week’s PGA Championship – his second Major title – by eight strokes, having won last year’s US Open by the same margin.
Woods, the world No3, has won three times on the US tour this year.
