Daly hampered by rib injury
John Daly, wearing a pair of trousers more suited to a deckchair yesterday, confessed to being less than fully fit for the start of this year’s Open.
No change there, then, you might think but specifically, according to the 1995 champion, he is being hampered by the rib injury which forced him to pull out of the French Open a fortnight ago.
And not, contrary to the rumour that was circulating the locker room yesterday, suffering from a bout of piles.
