Paul Casey barely able to speak in emotional Ryder Cup interview
PAUL CASEY was barely able to speak in an emotional interview after his Ryder Cup win.
Casey, who is appearing at his fourth Ryder Cup, joined forces with Tyrrell Hatton to beat Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler 3 and 2 in the Saturday morning fourballs.
The pair hit 11 birdies between them as Europe continued their charge to go into an 8-3 lead.
Casey was interviewed afterwards but he could barely get a word out.
The Englishman was asked to sum up the match - only for him to reply: "Honestly, ask him a question. Let me try to get my breath."

Hatton then took up the reins to say: "It's amazing. I'm almost lost for words. It's such a special moment,
"To be here is an honour and to win a point for the team is very special.
"Playing alongside Paul, what a player he is.
"It was the Casey express train through the front nine.

"I was just trying to help out when I could and he got us going in the match. Thankfully we were able to see it through."
By that point Casey had regathered his composure to sum up his Ryder Cup experience.
"It's been 10 years. I desperately wanted to be back on this team as I know how good it is," he said.
"All these guys are amazing and once you are a Ryder Cupper, you are always a Ryder Cupper.
"I can't tell you how proud I am - and how proud I am of this guy as well.
"I got going on the front nine but he was right there to back me up like every great partner does.
"He made birdies when I wasn't even in the holes. I can't tell you how good I feel. You want to make the team and you want to contribute."
