Tiger Woods schedule: When will he next play? FedEx Cup, Ryder Cup and more
TIGER WOODS - When will he next play and what is the latest on his Ryder Cup selection?
It was little over 12 months ago that Tiger Woods underwent spinal fusion surgery in the latest line of back procedures.
Injury problems and personal issues had taken its toll on Woods and it looked as though he may never return to the top of golf again.
But he has undergone a resurgence in 2018, culminating in a thrilling second-placed finish at the PGA Championships on Sunday.
His final round of 64 was his best ever performance on a Sunday in a major and finished just two shots behind eventual winner Brooks Koepka.
While Woods is still yet to make that step to winning a tour event - a feat he hasn’t achieved since 2013 - there is a real buzz around golf that he will return to the winner’s circle sooner rather than later.
The 42-year-old will now have to wait until 2019 to try again at the majors but there is still plenty to play for in the final months of the season.
The 2018 Ryder Cup is just around the corner while the FedEx Cup playoffs begin next week.
But when will Woods be in action next and what is his schedule? Find out below.
Tiger Woods next tournament
Woods is certainly not showing any signs of slowing down. He isn’t competing in the Wyndham Championship this week but has already committed to three events.
He is aiming to qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship and in order to ensure he does Woods has announced he will be playing in all three FedEx Cup playoff events.
The first of which gets underway next week at the Northern Trust before he takes part in the Dell Technologies Championship and BMW Championship.
Woods is currently 20th in the FedEx Cup standings so therefore would be able to qualify for all three events.
If he manages to stay inside the top 30 by the end of the BMW Championship then Woods will qualify for the Tour Championship.

Tiger Woods Ryder Cup latest
Woods’ performance at the PGA Championship may have been eye-catching but his overall performance in 2018 has seen his stock rise back to the top.
Not many would have predicted at the start of the year that Woods would be in contention for a Ryder Cup spot.
He hasn’t played in one since Medinah in 2012 but looks set to be named in the USA team this year.
Woods may have missed out on an automatic qualifying spot, but it is widely expected he will receive a captain’s pick from Jim Furyk.
