Man Utd transfer news: Odds crash on Paul Pogba to Barcelona after Willian denial
BARCELONA are now the clear favourites to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, with Willian not moving to the Nou Camp.
Manchester United star Pogba is supposedly wanted in Catalonia.
The La Liga champions have already missed out on Willian this summer.
But a move for Pogba may be on, claim the Bookies.
Pogba has endured a mixed two seasons at Old Trafford.
The former United academy product cost the Red Devils £89m to buy back from Juventus in 2016.
He has struggled under manager Jose Mourinho yet flourished at the World Cup as France won the tournament in Russia.
Pogba’s performances during the summer supposedly caught Barcelona’s eye as they seek to replace Andres Iniesta at the Nou Camp.
And bookmakers Ladbrokes have seen Barca move to heavy favourites for Pogba over the last week.
The 26-year-old was priced at 7/1 to join Barcelona before the summer is out on Friday.
But those odds have not tumbled to 4/1.
Manchester United will not want to lose Pogba without signing a replacement - and that could prove tricky as the Premier League’s transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday.
However, Barca could look to secure a deal AFTER Thursday’s deadline, with the Spanish window staying open until August 31.
But their interest in Willian is over after the Chelsea player’s revelation today.
"I always made it clear that what I wanted was to stay in the club,” he said.
"The only club I knew that really made an official offer for me was Barcelona.
"I have my head here and I intend to continue in the club unless the club wants to sell me."
