Newcastle transfer news: Possible line-up after deadline day – Big-money striker benched?
NEWCASTLE have endured another frustrating summer – but how could they line up after the transfer window closes?
Rafael Benitez has added several players to his Newcastle squad during the transfer window, but has been left frustrated by a lack of funds available to spend this summer.
The Spanish boss has snapped up shrewd additions to his squad without exceeding the club's £16.8million transfer record – spent on Michael Owen in 2005.
Free agent Ki Sung-Yeung has been joined by £3m defender Fabian Schar, loanee Kenedy and the permanent signing of keeper Martin Dubravka, and they are all expected to start for the Magpies in 2018/19.
Ironically, Newcastle's biggest signing of the summer was the £9.5m capture of Yoshinori Muto, though he may not fit into the starting XI once Salomon Rondon's imminent loan move is completed.
Take a look through the gallery to reveal how Newcastle could line up next season after the transfer window.
