ARSENAL could apparently have one final transfer ace up their sleeve which may leave a damning effect on Manchester United.
Ousmane Dembele has connections at Arsenal says expert
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele for the last couple of transfer windows and a huge transfer hint has been dropped.
The Frenchman has been spotted in London dining with Gunners stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matteo Guendouzi.
Supporters are beginning to get giddy about the prospect of the £135million man moving to the Emirates.
But that could reportedly cause problems for United as the Catalan club would then up their pursuit of Paul Pogba.
The London Evening Standard say Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat could have one more bit of business to complete before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
Pogba has been widely linked with a move to Barcelona all summer and his agent, Mino Raiola, is said to be working on a £100million move.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are in the market for another midfielder following Andres Iniesta’s departure and they should move for Pogba if Dembele leaves.
United will be further concerned by the fact the World Cup winner could leave the club after Thursday’s English transfer deadline.
However, they will not be able to bring in any replacements so boss Jose Mourinho will have to carefully cover his back over the coming days.
Pogba has recently been linked with a move to Paris-Saint Germain and he refused to rule out a move away from Old Trafford.
“We are never sure of anything,” he said.
“Contractually, it's on [to stay], yes.
Ousmane Dembele showcases incredible skills for Barcelona
"My presence at the Eiffel Tower has nothing to do with PSG.
“Why not one day tread the lawn of the Parc des Princes? It’s a beautiful stadium.
“I grew up here [in France], my father supported Marseille and so did my mum.
“Paris wasn't really in my daily life."
