Arsenal and Chelsea to struggle, Liverpool for title? Redknapp makes top four predictions
ARSENAL and Chelsea look set to miss out on the Premier League top four again this season, with Liverpool pushing Manchester City all the way for the title.
Liverpool could win the Premier League this season says pundit
That is the opinion of former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.
Arsenal finished last season in sixth and Chelsea’s disappointing defence of their title saw them end up in fifth.
Both sides will start this campaign with new bosses, with Unai Emery and Maurizio Sarri taking the hotseats at the respective London clubs.
Manchester City ran away with the league ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham last term.
But Liverpool have splashed out over £170million on new signings this summer and Redknapp believes they will be competing with Pep Guardiola’s side.
I think Liverpool and Man City will fight it out for the Premier League title this year
And he sees Tottenham and Manchester United battling it out for the final two Champions League qualification spots.
“Man City are obviously the favourites again, but I’ve got a strong feeling Liverpool will chase them all the way this year,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“Now they’ve made the two or three signings they were maybe short of last season, Klopp is gradually, bit-by-bit, putting the pieces of that team together.
“I think he’s very, very close to it at Liverpool now and I think they are going to be big contenders this year for sure.
“Tottenham are going to be there again, and so are Manchester United.
“If anyone is going to miss out, unless Arsenal improve drastically and Chelsea, they may end up finishing fifth and sixth again.
“I’d be surprised in Spurs didn’t make the top four again, I think they’re capable, but I think Liverpool and Man City will fight it out for the Premier League title this year.”
