Chelsea transfer news: Sky Sports pundit makes transfer prediction - three names in frame
SKY SPORTS reporter Dharmesh Sheth predicts Chelsea will do a ‘big reschedule’ of their squad before deadline day.
Maurizio Sarri was last week appointed the new boss and he has to address immediate doubts over the futures of Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Willian and David Luiz.
But regardless of whether they stay or go, plans have already been made for new signings.
CSKA midfielder Aleksandr Golovin and Juventus defender Daniele Rugani are both on their radar, as is Roma keeper Alisson.
“Chelsea were looking at transfer targets for two scenarios - Conte going or Sarri coming in.
“With Sarri coming in all the money is on a big reschedule in the Chelsea squad with less than four weeks until the transfer window closes.
“His priority will be the futures of Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Willian and David Luiz.
“Real Madrid are interested in Hazard now Ronaldo has left, Courtois wants to move to play in Madrid and Willian wanted out if Conte remained.
“Barcelona aren’t giving up. Bid one of £50million is rejected. Now we understand bid two is in of £53million.
“I foresee the futures of those three players need sorting soon so Sarri knows who is in this squad and who he needs to replace as well.
“Chelsea are interested in the Roma keeper Alisson with the future of Thibaut Courtois up in the air. Sky Italy are telling us they could bid a whopping £62million to bring in Alisson.
“There’s also potential arrivals in CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin and Juventus’ Daniele Rugani.
“I predict in the last three and a bit weeks that we are going to see a lot of breaking news related to Chelsea.”
Hazard announced on Saturday he could be ready to leave Chelsea following his World Cup exploits with Belgium.
Hazard, 27, sealed Belgium's 2-0 victory against England in the third-place play-off in St Petersburg by scoring a late goal after Thomas Meunier had given the Red Devils an early lead.
The Chelsea forward then hinted at a possible move to Real Madrid, with whom he has been linked since the end of the season, when telling hln.be: "After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.
"Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination."
Hazard, who turned in a man-of-the-match display against Gareth Southgate's Three Lions, has been also been linked with Real's arch-rivals Barcelona.
"They linked me to all clubs," Hazard added. "Next week is Bayern (Munich). No, I laugh with it. You know my preference."
Chelsea appointed Italian tactician Sarri to replace Antonio Conte as head coach on Saturday and then promptly announced the signing of Italy midfielder Jorginho from Napoli.
Real are in the hunt for new Galacticos after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to reigning Serie A champions Juventus earlier this week.
