Jack Wilshere: West Ham signing slammed - He should have copied Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
JACK WILSHERE has gone into “the early stages of retirement” by joining West Ham from Arsenal, according to talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham.
Jack Wilshere move to West Ham is 'appaling' says pundit
Wilshere today penned a three-year deal at West Ham after leaving Arsenal at the end of his contract last month.
But Durham does not think it is the right move for the 26-year-old, whose career has stalled in recent years at the Emirates.
Durham instead believes Wilshere should have gone out of his comfort zone and moved away from London.
He says he should have followed the lead of former Arsenal team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who left Arsenal for Liverpool last summer.
Jack Wilshere basically, it’s the early stages of retirement going to West Ham
“The Ox goes to Liverpool, people were saying he won’t get a game, people are saying he’s not good enough for them,” Durham said.
“But for injury, he’d be in this England team and he may well have played in a Champions League final, and who knows with him they may have done a bit better in that final with him as well.
“He really has proved himself in a short space of time.
