Arsenal news: Unai Emery gives Gunners better chance than Mikel Arteta – Perry Groves
ARSENAL have more of a chance of getting into the top four under Unai Emery than they would’ve had under Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal have chance of getting into top four says Groves
That’s according to former Arsenal man Perry Groves.
Arteta was linked with the Gunners job after Arsene Wenger announced his departure at the end of last season.
However, Emirates chiefs decided to appoint former Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla boss Emery instead of their former midfielder.
And Groves believes Emery is the right man to come into the club and shake things up in order for the Gunners to return to glory.
“The culture needs to change,” Groves said on talkSPORT.
“It will be the same as when George Graham went there.
“It was all very comfortable, players were on big money and underachieving.
“He went and changed that culture completely.
“He put desire, he put energy back in and that’s what Unai Emery is.
“With Unai Emery in charge, we have a chance of being top four.
“If it was Mikel Arteta in charge, we would have had no chance.”
