Arsenal transfer news: Jack Wilshere in Fenerbahce talks, deal to be completed Monday
JACK WILSHERE is set to join Fenerbahce after leaving Arsenal, according to transfer expert Volkan Demir.
Wilshere announced last week he would be departing the Emirates after talks over a new deal collapsed.
The England international was prepared to take a pay cut to stay at the Gunners, but he was informed by Unai Emery he had no future.
West Ham were in the running for the 26-year-old, however supposedly had reservations over his fitness and were prepared to offer him a one-year deal.
But now it seems that Fenerbahce are about to close out a deal.
I expect a deal to be completed on Monday
Turkish journalist Demir tweeted: “Jack Wilshere is in Istanbul today.
“The information I received is that it’s over and the transfer will go ahead.
“I expect a deal to be completed on Monday.”
With Wilshere leaving Arsenal, the north London outfit have been weighing up other alternatives.
Sevilla’s Ever Banega is on their radar, but Lucas Torreira is likely to make the switch.
The Sampdoria midfielder has been strongly linked with a £26million move and he is currently on World Cup duty with Uruguay.
