Rangers transfer news: Steven Gerrard addresses Liverpool rumours, reveals who he’ll sign
RANGERS boss Steven Gerrard has put the record straight on who he wants to sign and which transfer stories are purely rumours.

Gerrard made his seventh signing of the summer last week after signing Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan on a two-year deal.
The former England captain has been linked with a host of Liverpool players in recent weeks following his close link to his boyhood club.
Gerrard worked closely with the academy and is well aware of the talent his former club possess within their youth ranks.
Ben Woodburn and Dominic Solanke are two strikers that have been tipped to learn their trade under Gerrard at Ibrox but he has dismissed the links as just speculation.
However, he has revealed he is intending to sign more forwards.
“Brandon Barker [of Manchester City] is speculation,” Gerrard said.
I’m a fan of all the names, but it’s speculation. Dominic Solanke? Ben Woodburn? Also speculation. But we need more forward options.
“There’s not enough room for all the wingers we’ve been linked with — Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson, [Brandon] Barker and Jordan Jones.
“I don’t know how I’d fit them all in. I’m a fan of all the names, but it’s speculation. Dominic Solanke? Ben Woodburn? Also speculation. But we need more forward options.
“The priority initially was in the defensive areas. We needed bodies in the centre of defence, and needed to give support in the full-back areas.
“There’s a group of names we’re monitoring and assessing in the forward areas.”
Gerrard returned to Liverpool as an academy coach in February 2016 after retiring from football, taking charge of the Under-18s team for the following season.
He left again this summer to take charge of Rangers -- his first role in senior management -- with Gary McAllister and Michael Beale among those following to form part of his backroom staff.
