Liverpool news: LeBron James plans revealed as summer talks scheduled
LIVERPOOL are keen to work with minority stakeholder LeBron James this summer to boost their global brand, Reds CEO Peter Moore has revealed.
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar James has been a minority shareholder since 2011 after reaching a deal with Fenway Sports Group.
And Liverpool chief Moore says the Reds hope to hold discussions with James next month during their pre-season tour of America.
Moore told the Sports with Friends podcast: "I think you can credit Tom Werner for LeBron's involvement here. He's a very interesting part of our portfolio and our family.
"We look forward hopefully to seeing him on our travels in the United States once we come over.
"He has a small stake in the club, but he's visited Liverpool, attended games.
There'll be an open invitation for him to attend one of our matches
"We haven't seen him this season - he's obviously been busy - but my hope would be that once he's got some free time that he can visit us, visit training.
"Certainly, there'll be an open invitation for him to attend one of our matches."
Liverpool land in America on July 21 for their week-long summer tour.
